Our Courts

SSRC is the oldest private members squash club in Scotland and is the best in the west.

4 bright and warm courts just recently refurbished and looking like new for the new season.

We have training sessions held every Thursday for all levels, starting at 4:30pm through until 7:30pm.

Our Facilities

Court bookings

Courts can be booked up to 2 weeks in advance. All bookings are made through our online booking site SporytyHQ. When you become a member you will be granted access with your own login.

This will also give you direct access to all the contact details of a host of new potential opponents. Court cost is presently £4.00 per hour and this is shared between those playing. This is paid by putting coins in meters to operate the lighting and heating on the courts.

Mini-leagues (Box Leagues)

There is no block on Mini-leagues, any member is welcome to join in. It is a great way to meet and get to know other members if you are new to the club.

We have a raft of different standards of player and we can usually always match you with similar standard players to ensure the games are competitive.

West of Scotland Leagues

Wednesday night during the season is the night that our Gents/Open teams play in the West of Scotland squash leagues.

At present we run 6 Gents/Open teams and 1 Ladies team.

Racketball/Squash57/Table Tennis

We also have an active Racketball/Squash57 contingent that works in a similar way as the squash at our club.

We have a quality Table Tennis table for the use of members and also run a Table Tennis mini-league for those members interested. Simply book your court time as normal and set up the table on the court.

We ask members to please ensure that the table is dismantled and removed from the court on completion of your court booking.

General

We welcome all standard of players and hope that regular competition at the club will improve both your standard of play and fitness.

We have a very good relationship with the Scottish Squash Association, and have recently held some prestigious high ranking events at our club.

We offer free to members coaching sessions on a Thursday night which all members are invited to participate in. This is especially targeted at beginners to intermediate.

We also have a sauna in both the ladies and gents changing rooms and many members enjoy a sauna after a hard match.
